Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who can take this course and what is the main focus of this program?

Level 3 Freediving is intended for those certified as Advanced, Wave 2, or AIDA 3 who wish to advance their diving skills even further. We suggest being at ease on dives of 28-30 meters depth beforehand to reap the most benefits of this course, or, if you’re still working on your confidence, you may want to do a couple of coaching sessions.

This course is intended for those who want to pursue Master Freediving. You will aim for the 34-meter mark and below, attain mastery of deep Frenzel and mouthfill equalization, refine your no-fins style, enhance your relaxation and static breath holds, and learn to assist instructors with beginner students to build the confidence and skills to assist others safely.

Why should I take this course and not just join training sessions?

Level 3 is built for freedivers who begin diving deeper than their residual lung volume — that’s the point at which you need some new tools to continue progressing safely. You will perfect your deep Frenzel, loose pressure equalization (mouthfill) as well as ways to keep relaxed and focused on deeper dives. This training course offers you so much more than training sessions.

Coaching is definitely good for refining certain techniques; however Level 3 is a full-on program that really takes your freediving to another level of understanding. You will learn all the advanced theory, training techniques and mental preparation methods that the best freedivers in the world use.

Another key part — you’ll learn to assist instructors and support beginner students. It’s your first real step toward becoming a professional freediver and sharing what you love with others.

What are the diving/study conditions and do I need to bring my own equipment?

Our school is nestled in Amed, East Bali — truly one of the best spots in the world for freediving, especially if you're already diving around or beyond the 50-meter mark. We hold our theory sessions in a comfy, air-conditioned studio, where you’ll find everything you need to stay focused and enjoy the learning process. This space also serves as our base camp — it’s where we gather, check our gear, prep for dives, and go over our sessions after training.

Our main dive site is just a quick two-minute walk away. We enter from the shore and swim a few minutes to our moorings, which are set at 40 m and 45 m — perfect depths for Level 3 training.

If you’re signing up for a course with us, there’s no need to bring any gear. We’ve got you covered with everything you’ll need — masks, snorkels, lanyards, nose clips, and equalization tools for dry practice. Just bring your curiosity, a calm mind, and a desire to enjoy freediving with us!
